What a TurboSquid wireframe image must prove
A wireframe render is evidence that your mesh is what your listing says it is. Reviewers and buyers look at it for:
- Real topology. The edges must come from the model you are selling, not a texture overlay or a smoothed proxy.
- Readable edge flow. Loops around joints, panel lines and openings should be visible at listing size.
- Consistency with the stated poly count. If the listing says 12k polygons, the density in the image has to match.
- The whole product. At least one angle showing the full silhouette, plus closer views of the detailed areas.
TurboSquid updates its CheckMate documentation from time to time, so confirm the current image size and count rules in your seller dashboard before you submit. The content rules above stay the same.
Common wireframe rejection reasons
- Too dense to read. A dense mesh rendered small turns into a solid blob. Use a three-quarter angle and a contrasting line colour.
- Wireframe doesn't match the deliverable. A wireframe exported from a subdivided preview while the file ships low-poly, or the other way round.
- Hidden n-gons and stray triangles. Wireframes reveal what shading hides, so check them before the reviewer does.
- Inconsistent presentation. Mixed backgrounds and angles across your images look unprofessional and slow review down.
A checklist you can run in under five minutes
- Export the exact mesh you will upload (STL, OBJ or BLEND).
- Drop it into the 3DWireframer generator and pick 4 to 8 angles.
- Turn on Mesh stats and Dimensions. You get triangle and vertex counts plus real-world size as a stats .txt inside your ZIP.
- Check that the triangle count matches your listing copy.
- Upload the PNGs as secondary product images, next to your beauty renders.
Get listing-ready images for TurboSquid in 3 steps
- Export the deliverable meshUse the same STL, OBJ or BLEND file you will upload to TurboSquid so the wireframe matches what buyers download.
- Generate multi-angle wireframesChoose front, three-quarter, side and top views with a high-contrast line colour so dense regions stay readable.
- Verify stats and exportCompare the reported triangle count with your listing, then download the PNG set plus the stats .txt as one ZIP.
Frequently asked questions
Does TurboSquid require a wireframe image?
Wireframe images are expected for CheckMate certification and are standard on professional TurboSquid listings. Check the current CheckMate documentation in your seller dashboard for the exact image count and size rules.
Should the wireframe be shown over a shaded model?
Either style is common. What matters is that the edges are the real mesh topology and stay readable at thumbnail size. A clean line-on-solid-background render is the easiest to read.
Can I prove my poly count in the listing?
Yes. Enable Mesh stats when you generate and 3DWireframer adds a stats .txt with triangle and unique vertex counts to your export ZIP, so you can copy them straight into your listing.
Are Pro exports watermark-free?
Yes. Pro Standard, Enterprise and one-time credit packs all export watermark-free PNGs, which is what marketplace product images need.
